Had the boys from Honford Star over to the warehouse to shoot some demo footage for our new series dbSTACKS, which invites bookish folks to roam the “stacks,” select books, and talk about them à la Criterion Closet.\
Afterwards, we had dinner at Palétte Curry. As my first impressions (see generally 16.314 Prawn Korma), the food was laughably amateur – I mean, dollops of mayonnaise on chicken tandoori?!
But I brought us back, expecting free corkage, as before. This time, however, they tried to charge us, claiming that the last time had been a limited promotion. When I threatened to leave, they caved – just this once. Without free corkage, there shan’t be a next.
