The Spring WOW! (Welcome to Our Warehouse!) Family Sale is upon us: today and tomorrow (see previously 16.315 Spinach Cream Pasta).

Similar concept to the interactive art exhibition with Ryan Estrada in the fall (see generally 16.314 Prawn Korma), with materials from the Seoul Outdoor Library (see generally 17.116 Emmental Mushroom Pizza).

Rooftop sideline event: An Expert Panel on the Art & Science of K-Lit.  Panelists: Taylor Bradley, Sean Lin Halpert, Anton Hur, Lee Suhyeon, Faye Leung, Park Chanwoo.  Moderator: me.

Afterwards, we went out for dinner.

Moët & Chandon Ice Impérial Champagne Demi-Sec (1.5): too sweet for me; Anton: “Tastes gay.”
Truffle Cream Pasta (3.0)
1887 Reserva (3.0): nice, though a bit too bold for the dishes on the table.

We had hosted dinner at this place following CariCanRead’s rooftop bookswap at WOW last May (see generally 16.140 Pizza Funghi).

More recently at WOW this past November, dinner was hosted for Ryan Estrada at the sister restaurant Numero Dos (see generally 16.315 Spinach Cream Pasta).

Both are excellent venues because the food is good, prices are reasonable, reservations are accepted, and – perhaps most importantly – corkage is free (sorta: 1 bottle per 2 customers, up to 2 hours).  I prefer the latter, which has a cooler vibe and is closer to the office, but another party had already booked the large table.
