After years of trying, I’ve finally come to the inexorable conclusion that I simply don’t like gejang all that much, whether the ganjang (soy sauce) or gochujang (chili paste) version. I tried so hard because most everyone around me goes googoogaga over it, and I kept thinking that I must be missing something, something that I’d eventually get. I don’t care anymore. I give up. I have more than enough other things to eat.
