Spaghetti with Scallops
-Oksu, Seongdong, Seoul, Republic of Korea-
with DJ and IZ
Not my bad, not entirely. I bought the scallops, another batch of the local variety, despite a lingering less-than-stellar impression from a recent experience (see 4.127 Scallops in Egg Curry), hoping that I could improve their flavor and texture by searing them in butter. Texture aside, they ended up tasting a bit funny, whether inherently odd or just off, I couldn’t quite tell, but I threw out the entire batch just in case, fortunately before the kids had a chance to eat any. Although I did manage to salvage some of the pasta that hadn’t yet been tossed with the scallops, the dish as envisioned was a failure.
