TGI Friday’s is an American restaurant chain.  Arguably the most famous and ubiquitous family restaurant worldwide, with over 1000 locations in over 60 countries.  Basic American fare (e.g., burgers, pastas, steaks, BBQ), a lot of emphasis on booze-friendly appetizers (e.g., potato skins, chicken wings), and often a couple localish items tossed in (e.g., Filipino Platter).

I’ve been to TGI Friday’s in Korea, China, and now the Philippines, but still not yet once in the States.

The occasion was a casual, impromptu get-together with a few Korean members of WHO staff and interns.  I didn’t feel like going, until I heard that the venue would be TGI Friday’s, which I’d have to cover for TERRP anyway.
