Kenny Rogers Roasters is an American chain restaurant.  Founded in 1991 by country singer legend Kenny Rogers.  Expanded to more than 425 locations by 1996. Sold to a Malaysian company in 1996.  Filed for bankruptcy in 1999.  Currently around 150 locations, all in Asia, including 35 in the Philippines.  Menu includes American-style grilled meats, notably the signature roast chicken, which is typically paired in combo plates with various side dishes, such as mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, etc.  Of course, in the Philippines, fried chicken is also available, as is rice, as is gravy.

Meh.  The chicken itself was tasty enough, though unbearably dry in the white meat.   The sides – I ordered cole slaw, corn & carrots -were okay.  I highly doubt that I’ll ever come back for more.
