Sakae Sushi is a Japanese restaurant.  Most notable for the conveyor belt sushi, though the menu also offers a range of typical à la carte items, such as grilled dishes, noodles, rice plates, etc.

Even if not for the point-of-sale banner, I would’ve gone for the buffet, which makes financial sense if eating 4 or more plates, most plates ranging from 99 to 109 pesos.
As is often the case, I was the only customer in the joint.

The food was strictly mediocre.  The first couple plates that I tried frankly weren’t that great, but it just made more sense to buy into the all-u-can-eat “buffet” after the third.  Most of the rolls consisted of something cooked/processed (e.g., canned tuna, imitation crab).  The worst part was the rice: using local rice, which is fluffy, water seemed to have been added after the fact to make the grains stick together.  And yet, I dunno, for whatever reason, I still kinda liked them.  By the end of the meal, I was stuffed and satisfied.  But I doubt that I’d ever go back.

Ugh.
