Idang’s Grille is a Filipino food court stall. Along the lines of Casa Ilongga, Mr Pares, Westwood, etc.
The food was terrible. The squid, despite its plump appearance, was very strangely thin, and dry, as if all the moisture, and thus volume, had been sucked out of it. And the tomatoes within were harshly unripe, flavorlessly sour. Just one bite, no more, no thanks. Ugh.
I’ve been to this place before, last year, when I was in Manila to attend a meeting. On my own for lunch one day, wandering the mall, I’d randomly chosen Idang’s Grille. Even then, the food had been disappointing.
