Living above Robinsons Place, I’ve been eating my way through the mall. As far as I know, nobody has ever done anything like this, my unique contribution to the city’s food/blog scene.
Yaki Mix is a buffet restaurant. No available information on history. Would seem to be Filipino-owned. At least a handful of locations around Metro Manila. Specializes in grill items, mostly pork, sausage, seafood, marinated/seasoned in a variety of Korean/Chinese/Japanese-ish styles, cooked DIY Korean-style on the built-in table-top grill. Also offers various cooked dishes and sushi, plus sides, as well as fruits and desserts.
As much as I hate buffets in general, these grill buffets are infinitely worse. Not only do I have to go out of my way to get food that isn’t worth the effort, but I also have to go out of my way to cook it. In essence, the setup is one step removed from a supermarket. Never again.
