Steak in Mushroom Gravy

Worst steak that I’ve cooked, ever. Probably due to the enduring illness, which has rendered me silly for the past week, I prepared the meat like an enormous prime rib, initially browning the outside then placing it in a dutch oven for a slow-and-low roast, even though the whole thing barely weighed over 1 kilo, including the bone. Popping in a thermometer after 30 minutes, I was shocked to find an internal reading of 78 degrees centigrade, well beyond well-done, way way overcooked. Irremissible lapse in judgment, no matter how sick I may be.
Couldn’t taste much in my current condition, so the cardboard texture was all that was left.
After 2 bites, I wrapped the remainders in a plastic baggy, walked outside, and gave it to a family on the street.
