With more curiosity than skepticism, I sent D to get us takeout dinner.  He’s been taking a greater interest in food these days, particularly ordering off menus, so I wanted to see what he’d come up with.  No specific instructions, just to get four items: “you know what we like.”

He came back with vegetable fried rice, beef hofan, two orders of hakaw – rather weak in variety and balance.  When he saw my reaction, he was like, “Well, I dunno!”

Second visit – won’t count this experience against the place – so still open for a third try.
