Mom’s Breakfast Sandwich

Recipe: spread mayo on white sandwich bread + slice SPAM into 2 thin pieces + grill SPAM in frying pan + beat egg in round bowl with flat bottom about 8 cm in diameter + microwave egg on high until cooked + place SPAM, 1 slice of cheese, egg between bread + microwave sandwich on low for 20 seconds until cheese is fully melted and bread is softened.
One of the first things that my mother taught me to cook (see also 8.183 Neoguri Ramyeon), back when I was a latchkey kid growing up in California. She called it “breakfast sandwich.” I often made it as an after-school snack.
Never fails.
One of my Top Five Sandwiches of All-Time.
