Family Business in Korea, Day 2.

In Seoul.  Here to attend my cousin MS’s wedding.

Incheon International Airport now has a Terminal 2, which services Korean Air and other Sky Team carriers.

The very first commercial flight to land in the new terminal was KE 624 from Manila, landing at 0435 on 18 January 2018.  Seated in 1C on this flight, I was the first bonafide passenger to step off the plane and thus the very first person in history to use the terminal. Actually, I was held back when the doors opened, as the pilot disembarked with some other guy – a ringer – who then took questions from a gaggle of reporters waiting just beyond the gate – what a scam.  Anyway, the first few passengers were given a silverware set to commemorate the occasion.  Yay.

LUNCH

After checking in to my hotel, I had lunch at Buwon Myeonok (see most recently 8.161 Mul Naeng Myeon).

DINNER

My hotel is just down the street from Eulmildae’s Gangnam location (see 4.077 Mul Naeng Myeon).  Even though I have preferred restaurants for MNM (see 8.296 Mul Naeng Myeon), I try to check out other places on occasion to refresh my taste memory.  I reconfirm that the Eulmildae MNM has an overly seasoned broth, previously described as “outright funky,” but with unbeatable noodles, previously described as “buckwheat bombshell, the nut flush, gritty, gravelly, awesome” (see 4.184 The Eulmildae MNM).
