Mission to HQ, Day 7 (see previously 9.055 Grilled Lamb Chop).
In transit. Was in Geneva to attend an Inception Meeting on a Global Programme for Building Legal Capacity to Address Unhealthy Diet – Wednesday to Thursday. After meetings in the morning, I’m on my way back home.

Pide is a Turkish bread dish. Flour dough, rolled long and thin, topped with various meats + vegetables + cheeses, oven-roasted. The term “pide” shares etymological roots with “pita.”
The pide was amazing. Perfectly crisp. Perfectly balanced combinations of toppings. Perfectly seasoned. If I had to choose a favorite, perhaps the minced beef with cheese, but all were excellent. And to think that these were made and served in an airport lounge at 1AM.
As always, I am grateful for and respectful of the opportunity to travel internationally, whether for fun or for work, especially via business class (see BEST IN FLIGHT), including airport lounge access (see in BEST IN LOUNGE).

Later, on the plane, from Istanbul to Manila (TK 84).
