Mission to Jordan, Day 3 (see previously 9.262 Mixed Grill and All the Fixin’s, Baby!).
In Amman. Here to attend a Meeting of the Regional Parliamentary Working Group on Universal Health Coverage in the Eastern Mediterranean Region – Tue to Wed. As focal point for the Asia-Pacific Parliamentarian Forum on Global Health (see most recently 9.231 Boodle Fight), I’m here to help WHO EMRO – which covers North Africa and the Middle East – set up their own forum, aimed for launch sometime in mid-2019.
Mansaf is a Jordanian lamb dish. Lamb is braised in fermented yogurt, served on steamed rise.
Meat was kinda bland and dried out, showing clear signs of freezer burn. Assuming this is a poor reflection on the quality of the restaurant, not the dish per se.
