Red Sea Dive Center 

-South Beach, Aqaba, Jordan-

Mission to Jordan, Day 5 (see previously 9.264 Lots of Chicken, Loads of Rice) – personal deviation.

In Aqaba.  Previously in Amman to attend a Meeting of the Regional Parliamentary Working Group on Universal Health Coverage in the Eastern Mediterranean Region – Tue to Wed.  Staying on in country for a couple extra days to dive in the Red Sea.

No restaurant, just a simple breakfast buffet.

Simple breakfast: hummus, cucumbers, boiled eggs, pita – perfect.

Staying at and diving thru Arab Divers.

The diving was awesome.  Having grown used to diving in the Philippines, I was struck by the different topography, different structures, different colors.   And the wrecks – not historical, recently scuttled just to give tourists something to look at, but still very cool.

Interestingly, the desert air was so hot and arid that gear would dry to a clean crisp in between dives.

When I showed them this photo, my knuckleheads kids actually thought this was real.

The Tank.

Don’t know what this is called, but we don’t have it in the Philippines – beautiful.

Jordan is the 5th country and the Red Sea is the 6th body of water where I’ve enjoyed the privilege of diving.

Because Arab Divers doesn’t serve dinner, I went across the way to Red Sea Dive Center.
