Tuna Avocado Cucumber Salad

Tried to recreate that dish in Japan (see 10.067 Tuna and Avocado Salad), but failed.
The dressing was okayish: sesame oil, soy sauce, sambal. Forgot to add roasted laver.
The main problem was the tuna. First, not of the highest quality to begin with, which was tolerable when served still semi-frozen and drowned in sauce (see 10.076 Maguro Sashimi…), the fish kinda got fishy as it thawed, the delicate dressing not strong enough to provide cover. Even worse, the flesh kinda got mushy, probably from too much handling.
