Mission to Fiji, Day 1 of 8.

In transit, heading to Nadi.  I will be conducting a series of planning meetings and ocular inspections – Wednesday to Friday in and around Nadi, Monday and Tuesday in Suva – in preparation for the Fifth Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Parliamentarian Forum on Global Health, which will be held in Fiji in August 2019 and highlight the role of parliamentarians in addressing the health impacts of climate change.  This is the fourth such mission in advance of the Fifth Meeting (see previously 10.118 Awhi Farms…).

As always, I am grateful for and respectful of the opportunity to travel, especially via business class (see BEST IN FLIGHT), including lounge access (see in BEST IN LOUNGE).  Any comments here, even the negative ones, are simply relative to other business class experiences, just for fun, not complaints per se.

Almonds served at room temperature – really?!?!

I am not unaware of the carbon footprint that I am leaving in preparation for a meeting on climate change.
