Chili Crab Whopper

The good news is that the GS 25 filling station that I’ve been frequenting near home is located next to a Burger King.

The Chili Crab Whopper is an item at Burger King. Exclusive to Burger King Korea. Limited time offer. It’s a Whopper with a beef patty and all the standard fixings, plus a deep-fried crab cake and chili sauce.
It was odd. The crab cake was fine, and the chili sauce was fine, and they worked well together, but they didn’t harmonize with the rest of the Whopper. Felt like eating two different sandwiches at the same time. It was also too big to manage, quickly falling apart after a couple bites and leaving quite a mess with all that sauce. Should’ve made it a chili crab burger on its own, leave out the Whopper, which is just fine as is.
Burger King, like all burger chains in Korea, still likes to fuck around with ill-advised novelty burgers (see for example 4.275 Mr K + Quattro Smoky Whopper) rather than working on how to improve on what they already have.
