Chicken Is a Truth!
2.0
from Seowon Chicken
at the Cabin
-Changchon, Seowon, Hoengseong, Gangwon, Republic of Korea-
solo
Solo trip to oversee a few renovations to the cabin.
Coming straight after work, I was wasn’t able / didn’t feel like cooking dinner for myself.
But by the time that I arrived in town, around 2000, everything was closed, except for the chicken joint.
Seowon Chicken is a Korean restaurant. Specializes in Korean-style fried chicken, and Korean-style pizza.
I got a takeout order of the basic fried chicken.
In case that I’ve never mentioned it before, the traditional way to eat fried chicken in Korea is to dip it in salt, often enhanced with black pepper, maybe MSG. I am now just realizing how odd that must seem to non-Koreans.
The chicken was entirely unremarkable. Which is too bad, as it’s the only late night option available – last order at 2100 – within 8 km.
