Diwali is an Indian restaurant.

Located on top of Gachon University subway station.
Humble decor.

At 6.1 km, it’s the second closest Indian restaurant from home (see also 11.304 Chicken Makhani).

While I appreciate the quiet of living in Wirye, restaurants serving fare other than Korean, or Koreanized Chinese or Koreanized Japanese, are few and far between.

The food was meh.  We’d ordered dal makhani, chicken tikka masala, and chili shrimp, all of which tasted kinda the same: sweetish, tomatoey, spiceless, harmless, boring.  The owners are Nepali, but the recipes seem dumbed down to appeal to Seongnam yokels.

The naan was good, generously portioned, reasonably priced, so the meal turned out okay overall.
