Another go at a dish that I’d improvised last year (see 11.359 A Bowl of Fish Soup), it turned out okay, again.

But I realized this time that I should season the fish in advance, brine it perhaps, because the miso soup neither thick nor salty enough to provide adequate seasoning after the fact.  Especially with the thicker cut of samchi this time, the flesh on the inside was left a bit bland.
