Bruschetta is an Italian dish. Traditionally, in Italy, it consists simply of grilled bread, drizzled with olive oil, perhaps rubbed with garlic, seasoned with salt and pepper. Fancier variations, especially outside of Italy, include toppings of minced vegetables and/or meats and/or cheeses.
This was a fancier-outside-of-Italy-minced-vegetables version. Inspired by a recent batch of spaghetti al pomodoro crudo (see 13.105 Spaghetti al Pomodoro Crudo Doppio w Queso Tierno). Kinda screwed up the bread, but the dish turned out nice overall.
