Gomaweo Banchan is a meal kit service.  Offers three complete set meals per day: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  W found them on the internet, orders from them on occasion.

These foiled-lined delivery bags are really nice.

Tonight’s dinner: weollam ssam + udon.

As with any meal kit, the amount of plastic waste – this shows just 2 portions – is shameful.

I’ve found that the components of the meals are often mismatched, like pairing weollam ssam (pseudo Vietnames) with udon (Japanese), which isn’t a terrible combo per se, but wouldn’t pho have been better (pho has been featured in other kits, paired with non-Vietnamese dishes)?

4 portions.

Beyond the inherent weirdness of weollam ssam (see generally 4.064 Beef Weollam Ssam), I found the execution rather clumsy/lazy.  For example, the grilled pork should’ve been in strips, but came in big chunks that made wrapping difficult, same with the large spears of bell pepper, wedges of (canned) pineapple, whole cherry tomatoes?!  The meal was not a pleasant process.

In lieu of pork, I stir-fried squid for my protein.
I know that there is a proper folding method, and this is definitely not it.
