Funny to think that the first GMTD post on this restaurant chain, in Cycle 1, didn’t even mention mul naeng myeon – simply to say generally that “this restaurant specializes in North Korean dishes, most of them very good” (see 1.067 Mandu Jeongol); the MNM obsession would later develop during Cycle 4 (see generally 4.148 The Pil-Dong MNM).

First time at this Yangjae branch, the MNM was okay, much better than the dish at the annex of the original location (see 12.115 Naeng Myeon) – apparently, quality control isn’t strictly enforced across the chain.
