After poker last night (see generally 15.133 Ham & Cheese + Italian Salami Sandwiches), DJ’s friends slept over.

6 liters of stock.

The challenge was to feed 6 teenage boys (as well as IZ, W, and myself) for lunch.  Solution: so myeon (see generally 1.169 So Myeon with Fish Cakes), which can easily be scaled up/down.  I made 12 portions, just in case (I’d never before attempted more than 4 portions).

I was very happy for the opportunity to use up ALL the bits and pieces of vegetables in the fridge.

While the dish hasn’t been featured on GMTD in over 5 years (see most recently 10.016 So Myeon (+ Gimbap)), it remains a regular weekend lunch.

W, IZ, and I ate in W’s bedroom.

They seemed to enjoy the food, though 10 portions would’ve been enough.
