Every month, we throw a little party for the birthday babies of the month – a tradition that I’d started in March.  Initially, the party consisted of cake, plus some beverages.  But after just 3 iterations, everyone had tired of cake, so we began switching it up with different snacks, usually something savory, as chosen by the honorees.

The December babies, including myself, agreed on mandu for this month.  Everyone seemed to like them – ordered enough for 2 dumplings per person, but should’ve ordered 3 each.
