Oh joy, J-Mart has begun to level up their offerings of seafood and banchan!

More on the expanded seafood area in a future post.

In contrast to the prior set-up (see for example 11.235 Bibimbab), the new banchan area now occupies an entire corner of the basement and includes more ready-to-eat items.

Seemingly a good deal at 9,900 won (but see below).

Previously run by a solo operator making everything in a small on-site kitchen, the food is now prepared by Gukmin Banchan, a small company, in a large purpose-built facility recently constructed on the second floor.

Also fish katsu (3.0) + dubu jorim (3.0).

The food was pretty good.  Quality ingredients, competently prepared, nicely packaged, reasonably priced (but see below).  Definitely worth exploring further.

My only complaint would be that the squid was mostly cabbage and onions and carrots underneath.
