Baechu Jeon (with Pickled Oysters)

Nanjidang is a Korean restaurant.  Specializes in traditional dishes, mostly anju in nature.

Located 143 m from Yangjae Station (Exit 4).

Dinner with my two closest friends from Ajou University.  Only the third occasion to see them since my return from the Philippines neartly 5 years ago (see most recently 15.104 Yang Galbi), we should definitely do it more often.

Served with a side of pickled oysters, the spicy brininess balancing perfectly with the sweet oiliness of the cabbage.

The food was excellent across the board.  My favorite dish of the evening was the baechu jeon, my second experience with the dish, much thicker/crispier here, perhaps more preferable to the lighter version that I’d first experienced at home (see for comparison 13.318 Baechu Jeon).  I would not hesitate going back for more.
