The first two cycles of GMTD had featured something vaguely American/patriotic in relation to the Fourth of July: chili-cheese dogs with Samuel Adams and Jack Daniels (see generally 1.179 Chili-Cheese Dogs), steak with mashed potatoes at an “All-American Diner (see generally 2.180 T-Bone Steak with Mashed Potatoes and Mushroom Gravy).

Since then, nothing.  Even when I was in the States on July 4 last year, we did have a big dinner (see generally 15.181 Surf (& Turf)), but it wasn’t ostensibly a celebration of Independence Day.

By weird coincidence, I made sauceless pan-grilled lambs on July 4 in Cycle 10 (see generally 10.180 Pan-Grilled Lamb Chops).
