Excited about tonight’s meal for 3 important reasons.

First, trying out the fat-free refried beans that I’d scored from Safeway on my recent trip to the States (see generally 16.230 Corned Beef Hash).
Second, trying out the Taco Bell Hot Sauce, same source.

Third, most important, trying out a local purchase of Modelo, the Mexican lager that is the #1-selling beer in North America (see generally 15.175 Giants Dog), now available in Korea, as I’d been happily surprised to discover on my trip to E-Mart a few days ago.

Unfortunately, the tortillas wouldn’t stay together. Although I’d steamed them to increase pliability, they split during the assembly, completely fell apart during the eating. And they tasted kinda mealy. Quite surprised, as Ottogi products are generally reliable, even if not entirely authentic for non-Korean things (see for example 3.121 Taste Test: Korean Tonkatsu Sauces, 13.088 Taste Test: Bottled Mayo, 14.070 Meatball Subs).
