Starting yesterday, Korea is currently enjoying a “golden week” in which 3 national holidays come together for a 7-day break: October 3 (Fri) (Foundation Day) + 4 (Sat) + 5 (Sun) + 6 (Mon) (Chuseok, Day 1) + 7 (Tue) (Chuseok, Day 2) + 8 (Wed) (Chuseok, Day 3) + 9 (Thu) (Hangeul Day). By taking 10 (Fri) off, the break could last 10 days through 12 (Sun). This only happens by coincidence because Chuseok is calculated on the lunar calendar, falling on different dates every year. The last time that it happened was October 2017, while we were in Manila – nary a mention on GMTD during that time, so possibly I wasn’t even aware of it.
For reasons to be disclosed next Wednesday, I’ll be on a 19-day break.

Anyway, none of our staff were willing to sacrifice their break by working at our store in Busan (see generally 16.244 Nakji Bossam Hansang), and so I dispatched W, who had pushed for the project in the first place.
Which leaves IZ and me on our own. Fortunately, we’re on better terms these days, getting back to normal.
