Another shopping-while-hungry impulse purchase from Costco (see also 16.332 Chicken (+ Corn) Curry Rice).

Top: beautifully marbled, especially for USDA Choice.

Such a scam: I suspected that the bottom row of meat wouldn’t be as good as the top, but the difference here went way beyond expectation.  I wonder if anybody takes the package back and demands a refund.

Bottom: didn’t even bother to trim the silver skin.

Anyway, we enjoyed the top layer, just grilled with salt and pepper.

First time trying this acquisition from my trip to the States back in August (see generally 16.230 Corned Beef Hash) – meh, had a slight chemical aftertaste.
