After shooting a few rounds of pool, we visited Fat Boy Burger, our current favorite burger delivery joint, for the first time in person.
As hoped, the quality of the food was even better at the source. The edges of the smashburger patty was noticeably crispy. The buns were poofy. The toppings were intact. The sauces weren’t runny. Nowhere near Shake Shack, but a decent substitute.
Alas, the Rucola Mushroom Burger specifically was a flop. The rucola were shriveled and flavorless. The mushrooms, from a can, were rubbery. The balsamic sauce was too sweet. No cheese. And it soon fell apart. Oh well.
