One of the greatest achievements in making Seoul a better place to live was the development of the extended park along the banks of the Han River. At various intervals, the park features playgrounds, swimming pools, exercise equipment, convenience stores, and other amenities, as well as large swaths of grass fields for people to just sit around. Nearby restaurants – Chinese, fried chicken, pizza – deliver to the customers’ exact location. Along with a cold beer from the convenience store, it’s a great way to spend a lazy afternoon (see also 1.110 Toasted BELT).
