Papa John’s is an American restaurant chain.  Specializes in delivery pizza.  Founded 1984.  Currently over 5,000 stores globally.

With these newfangled pizzas from American chains, I sometimes struggle as to whether they still retain enough fundamentals to be considered Italian.

Here, in addition to the American fried chicken bits and sprinkles of cheddar cheese, the base sauce was some kind of creamy concoction that tasted distinctly un-Italian. Which isn’t to say that I didn’t like it, just that it was more American, or more Korean.
