Mussels and Oyster Mushrooms in Saffron Broth with Spaghetti

In my limited experience, I’ve found mussels easy to cook but difficult to photograph. No matter the angle, they all seem to be hiding. My lack of skill in food styling was the main culprit, along with my lack of skill in food photography, but the lousy iPhone 3GS camera didn’t help.
The spaghetti was an afterthought, but a good one. Though somewhat watery, the broth made an excellent pasta sauce, not unlike a vongole.
