Among the many references to E-Mart on GMNTD, this is the first post featuring a meal from the food court (not counting McDonald’s). 

I’d always been tempted to try one of the huge combination platters, if only to witness the sheer magnitude with my own eyes.

The set came with tonkatsu, masago temaki, assorted nigiri sushi, 2 bowls of udon, omurice, ddeok-bokki, kimchi.  15,000 won.

Authenticity aside – ddeok-bokki?! – it was pretty crappy, even though we finished most of it,On a positive note, in the absence of pressure to impress Lisa, who’d read the warning and provided informed consent, dinner was stress-free for me hungry as we were.
