Kongnamul Guk (콩나물국) is a Korean dish. At its simplest, it’s a soup consisting of bean sprouts and garlic boiled in water, seasoned with salt and pepper. Stock made of anchovies and/or clams (e.g., bajirak = Manila clams) may be used for richer flavor. Additional ingredients may include tofu and/or and/or kimchi. Quick and easy to make, light and refreshing to taste, the soup goes with just about anything. One of the most popular in Korean cuisine, typically found in a home-style spread.
