Despite my general reservations about Australian beef, it was advertised as “Darling Downs Wagyu,” on sale for about 3,000 won per 100 g, so I took a chance. The meat turned out to be rather tough, a rare feat for ribeye, marinated in lemon juice overnight, then sliced thin against the grain.
Fortunately, I had Tapatio Salsa Picante and sour cream, both of which, individually and jointly more so, can uplift anything, even Australian beef.
