I really ought to learn proper construction technique, so that the individual layers remain distinct and tidy, rather than getting all fused together into a flattened mess, as my lasagnas always turn out.
The four cheeses, including gruyère, emmental, and muenster, as well as parmesan, were bits and pieces that I’d been saving in the freezer for something like this.
