Eating my way through the restaurant’s entire menu, currently at 222 items.

Tasted 5 new items tonight, bringing the total to 154 items tasted thus far, 68 items remaining, averaging 5.7 items per visit, on pace to finish at TEITY 39.

Pan-Fried Pork & Vegetable Bun (2.0): could use more filling.
Ham Soy Kok (1.0): glutinous rice skins, unpleasantly sticky/mushy.
Butter Cream Crab (0.5): the butter cream sauce = margarine + sugar + salt; the worst item on the menu thus far, by far; we asked them to rinse off the sauce and extract the meat.
Fresh Milk Tart (1.5): too plain.

The highlight of the meal was the Steamed Fish Fillet with Black Mushroom.  Bite-size pieces of cream dory with sliced shiitake mushrooms and kailan covered in a simple gravy, classically Cantonese.  Ordinarily includes sliced ham, but it’s way too salty, much better without.  In lieu of the fish, the dish is also offered with “imported abalone” or “unicorn-style chicken.”  Good for when something light is in order.
