Try Every Korean Restaurant in Ermita and Malate (16) (see also TEKREM)
Surveying the Korean eateries, including those serving Korean-Chinese fare, located in the neighborhoods of Ermita and Malate, nearby work and home. Minimum of 1 dish per place. Currently 45 establishments. Though anticipating that most of the places will be mediocre, I look forward to exploring more of my environment.

Jong Lo is a Korean restaurant. Mainstream.

The sundubu jjigae was okay, I guess.
But given the dinginess of the premises, the uninteresting menu, and crappy array of sides, I doubt that I’ll ever go back.

If TEKREM is going to be like this, I should end it before I waste more of my time/energy/opportunity.

I say end it and do a TEITY round 2 where you start over again, only re-ordering the dishes that were 3* or higher and solidify your ratings on those dishes. That really appeals to my OCD.
thanks for the support, but the idea of TEITY 2 sounds more like insanity, not OCD.
in any case, i have a new Try Every in the works, which you might appreciate, so stay tuned….
pet peeve: laziness in writing/typing. for god’s sake was “for” too much to type for that kimchi sign? it’s not like they were texting someone and speed was a factor.
that’s what you pick up on?
what about the tape, which somehow manages to be simultaneously half-assed and overdone?
the “4” is the only part of that actually has some creativity.
BTW, 250 pesos per kg = about $2.50 per pound. cheap is good, but when something is too cheap…
