Another request by TL for me to make budae jjigae, her favorite Korean dish (see most recently 6.096 Budae Jjigae).

The budae jjigae product by Peacock = not so great.  While the taste was okay, it contained slices of vegetables and kimchi, as well as sausage and luncheon meat, all kinda icky after sitting in the liquid for so long.

Better to go with a soup base — of those that I’ve tried, I prefer Beksul (see generally 6.037 Hetbahn, Supplemented) over Pulmuone (see generally 6.074 Budae Jjigae) — and add fresh components according to personal preference.
