Generally not a fan of pickled pollack roe, which can be overly salty/fishy, unpleasantly squishy/slimy.  But these were delicately briny, luxuriously silky.  A drizzle of sesame oil for depth, a sprinkle of sesame seeds for pop.  Sublime.

Generally not a fan of MIL’s cooking, which can be overly salty/fishy, unpleasantly squishy/slimy (see for example 7.194 The MIL’s Typical…).  But this time, she got the myeongranjeot just right.  Superb.

That’s all I ate, with rice.

In Seoul.  Here on holiday during DJ’s fall break.  Arrived this morning, flying back to Manila next next Monday.
