Inspired to buy quinoa from the dish at Samba (see 8.106 Prawns Quinoa), this was the first application. The quinoa added a nice pop to the salsa.

Later in the evening, as I was preparing to make a batch of kimchi, I took a head of cabbage and chopped up what I estimated to be 1 kg, as called for in the recipe.When I put the cabbage on the scale to verify, it turned out to be exactly 1 kg, and I mean exactly 1 kg.
