Our second and final visit (see most recently 7.333 Tuna Tataki Nigiri).
Worse than the rice itself, which crumbled at the touch and tasted like nothing, the manager tried to play it off as if that’s how sushi is supposed to be.
BAN.
Incidentally, I have made my own nigiri sushi – in fact, tamago nigirizushi (see 8.242 Tamago Nigirizushi) – so I know how it’s supposed to be.
Afterwards, we went upstairs and had some of the real deal at Ogetsu Hime (see most recently 7.252 Matsusaka Teppanyaki).
