Mission to Fiji, Day 1.
En route to Nadi. Will be conducting a series of planning meetings and ocular inspections – Friday and Saturday in Nadi, Monday and Tuesday in Suva, Thursday in Nadi again – in preparation for the Fifth Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Parliamentarian Forum on Global Health, which will be held in Fiji in August 2019. This is the third such mission in advance of the Fifth Meeting (see previously 10.049 Termite Mushroom Steamed Halibut).
Having reviewed the Korean Air lounge in Terminal 2 when it first opened last year (see previously 9.016 Probably the Best Mul Naeng Myeon), I am happy to report that vast improvements have since been made – earning a spot in the Top 10.
Maybe because of how I tend to see the world, most of the food items seemed designed as anju (accompaniments to booze).
As always, I am grateful for and respectful of the opportunity to travel, especially via business class (see BEST IN FLIGHT), including lounge access (see in BEST IN LOUNGE). Any comments here, even the negative ones, are simply relative to other business class experiences, just for fun, not complaints per se.
Just recently, I reminded myself not to order steak on a plane (9.284 Feta Cheese with Sliced Fig and Parma Ham) – on the same carrier, same route – and yet I couldn’t resist. In my defense, the other options weren’t so appealing.
The steak was actually kinda okay.
