Although past experiences at this place had brought me close to banning it outright, desperate times call for desperate measures, so I gave it another shot.
After bringing home the package and leaving it on the kitchen counter, I dozed off briefly, waking up to find that the family had devoured most of the goodies.
I used the leftovers as a topping for an instant Japanese ramen. It turned out pretty well. The salty, smoky pork paired seamlessly with the soup, as if made for each other. If I had more vegetables, it would’ve turned out great.
We have rescheduled our flight back to Korea for 31 May, which now leaves us 10 nights in the Philippines: the home stretch, literally.
