From our new home in Wirye, the E-Mart at Garden Five (shopping complex) is just 4 km away, on the way to and from the city (still getting used to the idea that we no longer live “in the city”).   Not as big or as well-stocked as the flagship E-Mart in Seongsu, which was 3.8 km away from our apartment in Oksu, but sufficiently convenient for general home shopping needs.

One of my favorite things about E-Mart is the ready-to-go sushi boxes in the supermarket.

At the Garden Five branch, the selection of fish seemed less diverse and the pieces were a bit sloppier in construction than what I remember from Seongsu (see for comparison 1.134 Nigirizushi).  Otherwise, the sushi was reasonably fresh, tasty enough.

I was reminded of the sushi at our local supermarket in Manila (see 7.280 Salmon Manila Maki).

The engawa, our family favorite fish, was pretty good.

Our stuff will arrive tomorrow – just one more night sleeping on the floor.

In advance of the move-in tomorrow, IZ joined me and Louis to camp out.
